I really hope its true, and the show is sometime tonight after 8, so that I only look like half a jerk when I have to bail to go.

why is this a good idea? It's so played out. Rock n Roll cliche.

Who gives a shit if it is "Rock n Roll cliche".? ?What the fuck is wrong with having a free concert?Huh?

what's wrong with rock n roll cliche? are you serious?

once there was this rock n roll band rollin on the street (or roof top), time went by and it became a joke (because they are a? rock n roll cliche)

I always thought this quote refers to another band... Hey Dave, I get used to like your posts, I find it's kinda funny how you think, although I'm sure that you are joking all the time just to test people.

PS: Don't forget to call Slash a liar for the Bumblefoot thing, too!? yes

All I do is take what people have said about axl and the new band and when something similiar comes up  with VR and say the same thing about Vr.

This is for BabyGorilla and the people like him.
Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

How can you call a (free) show where they couldn't make it do to permitts the same as when gnr cancels huge gigs and doesn't show up and causes riots? Gnr will have you siot there watch two bullshit opening acts and not even show up and then damage occurs to the arenas in which they were to play, and to top it off they DON'T make up their missed shows, unlike vr that does.. You're really looking for comparisons where there are none.. You're definetly a misery loves company type of guy..

I don 't think axl's a liar either, just a douche bag when it comes to the fans..

Yeah I'm just not seeing any similarities........the permit shit sucks, it happens, but VR was quick to jump on the gun and get another show ready.  I couldn't even imagine how awesome it would be to be there live and catch that.  I really hope someone can film this.  I think it's going to be one hell of a show.

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

VELVET REVOLVER To Perform Free Show In Hollywood Parking Lot - Oct. 13, 2004

VELVET REVOLVER are scheduled to perform a special concert in the parking lot located in the Southwest corner of Selma and Ivar, in Hollywood, CA, tonight (Oct. 13) beginning at 8:00 p.m., BLABBERMOUTH.NET can reveal.

The band were originally planning on playing atop the Hustler Hollywood store, Larry Flynt's adult emporium on the Sunset Strip, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, but ended up calling off the performance after the city of West Hollywood, CA declined a permit for VELVET REVOLVER to perform. Flynt, who VELVET REVOLVER feel embodies the true rebellious spirit of rock 'n roll, had signed off on the band's wish to perform a set of songs from their platinum "Contraband", album for fans before heading out of town to launch their national concert tour Saturday, October 16.
