Here is the main problem in my opinion: The more Axl waits, the more he ages, and the less he will be credible. Rock n' Roll is a wild world for past glories and current "burnt Rockstar", do yo see what I mean? he was 38 at RIR3, now he is about to be 43...5 years of total waste of time. He was 31 when GN'R broke-up and he has done nothing since then. Do you see my point? From 31 to 43 (and counting), the guy hasn't released any new material yet.
The more the time pasts, the more I really start to think that Axl doesn't want to get into celebrity again anymore, especially after what happened in 2002. He might be fed-up. I just don't understand the reasons why it takes SO LONG. There is a problem somewhere. In 2002 the album was supposed to be "almost done" and now we are in 2005 and there is still no word about the album? excuse me but...I just don't understand.

Being a GNR fan just isn't healthy, it has become such a depressing affair. So many people have put their hopes on this album and in some way feel it's release will change their lives........WELL THAT IS FUCKING INSANE! It's a record not a new form of religion, Axl is a frontman not a Prophet.

YOur fucking insane! Of course CD will change my life! whenever i play it i'll be on a massive musical high.  Obviously music isn't a very important thing in your life.  If a hot babe teased you for 10 years but never gave you any action, would that not bother you either?  Music is a big part of my life and to finally be able to own this masterpiece will def. change my life and the way i feel when listening or thinking about the music.  peace
