I always tho about Axl making a documentary about the making of of Chinese Democracy, but I have to face, IF he was preparing something like that to the fans, we problably will hear something concrete all this years

I just saw Metallica?s Some Kind of Monster, and man, that was pretty intense, and I remember when they started to record ST ANGER, that time the whole fans already knew that a documentary was part of the plan... and what about GNR? it?s 99% impossible to Axl make something like that and not letting spread at least some "buzz" about it...

so, I think this kind of thing is not part of "the plan"

what your opinion?

plus...

Axl is too sporadic to have a film crew there just in case he shows up, I mean, those crews aren't free

they may only get one fuckin day with Axl over the course of several months

maybe a documentary about Robin Finck?

It would be a great thing to do that would really bring back a lot of fans, IMO. I'm not gonna rule it just because we haven't heard anything, but there has been footage recorded at various points...

SKOM, I thought, was a complete joke...completely fabricated and simply an ill attempt by a band whose popularity has been slipping by the wayside for years now to regain some of their past glory with this schlocky kleenex session 'caught' on tape. A soap opera...plain and simple...NOT rock n' roll.

If you want to see a true and raw documentary about the making of a rock album, check out Aerosmith's Making of Pump.  ok

Is it 5:00 yet?

I'd prefer either, a documentary would be a nice bonus for us fans......

Both the same week, Have Chinese Democracy come out on a tuesday and the documentary come out in theatres on a friday.

I guarantee it would kick the shit out of "Some Kind Of Monster" (cause lets face it that movie and the St Anger album were both lame as fuck)  peace

I diddn`t waste my time with Some Kind of Monster since I thoght St. Anger sucked.

Metallica has Jumped The Shark with St. Anger.

Actually, Metallica jumped the shark with that orchestra album they did in the late 90's. I never took them seriously after that.

I think Lars` drum work w/ St Anger was a big reason why the album sucked. It sounded like he was playing on trash cans. Kirk & James  were on top of it w/ the guitar work. What a shame.

I've never met a metallica fan in my life who didn't think that Lars was a total asshole.

I would hate if GNR put a documentary in theatres.
They're  a band. Not movie stars.

I think the idea is really lame.
