Axl signed with Sanctuary recentlyish, they will release CD. Sanctuary also aquired the rights to GNR's back catalogue a while ago, or at least limited rights.

Yeah, whoops. I should have read that back Interscope, or whichever division of UMG draws the short straw, will be responsible for Chinese Democracy.

Here's another question though; How many albums does Axl owe Universal? Is it just this one or will GNR still be shackled to UMG for the next few releases? I'm assuming Axl owes them one or two more albums because I recall him saying (years ago now) that there was the chance of getting more than one album out of the material that the new band has already recorded.
