Question about You Could Be Mine on UYI 2

Does anyone know why the band thanked Elton John in liner notes for You Could Be Mine. It doesnt state why and I have always wondered this, it doesnt seem like a song Elton John would write or help write.

There is a song on Goodbye Yellow Brick Road called "I Think We've Seen That Movie, Too". Since Bernie Taupin and Elton John wrote the song and Axl used the title as a line in YCBM, he thanked them. Simple enough.
