Sweet child o' mine was voted the best ever rock riff!!! I don't disagree with that. sweet child o' mine had an awesome riff and also a great bass line!!! (Just a random fact i thought you'd like to know).

it was in guitar world in 01 or02 as the best.  agree and yes indeed the basline is incredible.  second it only to Coma.

Awesome riff.. I also love smoke on the water,,, if you listen to a radio station and hear the guitar playing through the entire song you just see it is classes ahead of everything out there today..
