Hi,

I'm a new member over on dime, and there is alot of GNR stuff up over there right now.  I have downloaded a few shows, and my hard drive space is getting low.  There are probably like 10 more shows I would like to get from there.

My question is, how long should one keep the files on their hard drive and continue to upload.  My overall share ratio is 1.91/1 and climbing.  What is the "accepted" share ratio for a show to where I could delete the files from my hard drive to make room for another show.  I know that I should at least have a 1/1 ratio at worst.  I have a few shows that I am greater than 2.5/1, and these also have 20+ seeders (according to my torrent software).  I also have a show that I am greater than 2.5/1, but there are only 10 seeders, is that enough to keep the torrent going?

I also have 3 audio shows i downloaded that have 1-5 seeders at any given time.  I don't think it would be proper to remove those from my drive at all.  However, even though I have them as the top 3 in my list that I am seeding, they rarely get uploaded at all.  How long should I wait with no activity until I remove these files from my hard drive?

thanks

There is no specific etiquette, everyone has their own standards. My personal opinion is that you should try to maintain a minimum ratio of 1, which means you uploaded as much as you downloaded.
