Got the album, finally!

I'm impressed. This band keeps on putting good solid albums. Better lyrics, more polished sound (I'm still trying to figure out if that's a good or bad thing). Overall, I give the album 3.5 stars out of 5.

Best song so far is the first one, You only live once. Should've been the first single.

Ize of the World, and Heart of Change--not to mention when listening to very loud, the intro to Fear of Sleep is pretty killer---are phenomenal songs.

What blows me away, is that The Strokes are a real band, yet they are either dismissed by some critics as another teen band that was "Here Today, but Gone to Hell" the next second, or not committed like the critics Classic Rock favs.  They are not another quick hitter, and they are very committed (it's obvious on this album) to the songwriting trade.  In fact, of all the new rock bands to come along in the past five years, they are about the only one writing, expanding, and growing as musicians.  Isn't that what is it all about?

I can't wait to see them live in a few weeks!!!  I've seen them twice, and both times they were dead on musically, and wielded a very classic, enigmatic rock attitude!!!

", they just made everything cool. You guys in America are really lucky to have the Strokes Cool

lucky to have them?

ever since "Room on Fire" failed to sell tons of copies right out of the box, The Strokes have centered almost all of their attention on Europe

the U.S. got a four city promotional tour for "First Impressions", yeah

hopefully this one sells, I have not had the chance to see them since the end of the "IS THIS IT" tour

really though boston, the US has nothing going for it at the moment musically, bands dont need to make it big over there.
