About Buckets parts , I say keep em on the album and let Finck play em live. It's not like finck ever played slash's solo's correctly live either.  ok

 hihi

That could be a disaster of epic proportions Smiley  I say let Richard Fortus rewrite the solos and make them his own.  Richard has some blues in him, so they could end up sounding more like old school GN'R solos.

Ali

If Richard wants to do his own take live, fine.  But leave Buckethead's solos on the album, his TWAT outro and IRS solo are awesome.  I like the solo he has Better, I don't know if it fits, but it certainly catches your attention and keys the sudden mood change, maybe that was the point  smoking

I meant for the live shows that Richard should rewrite the solos and make them his own.  That would be very cool, actually.  I'd love to hear more of him playing lead.

I agree.  I'd like to see that too if Buckethead doesn't return to tour ok

Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see what will be on the album,I'm not sure that Dizzy really knows what's going on in GN'R smoking

Damn. I liked that song - It needed some work, but I hope it shows up down the road at some point, maybe on one of the follow up albums.

I thought Rhiad had a lot of potential too... Axl sounds horrible on it live though.

the song needed work...if that's what CD was going to be like in 2002, then i can understand the waiting. although i think axl mightve been holding back his 'big guns' (Better, TWAT) for later in that tour. sadly we will never know. no

- Buckethead?s guitar parts will remain on Chinese Democracy.

That's the best thing that I could have read. Very happy to know that if Dizzy has the truth. After listening TWAT one million times, I can't imagine the new Guns N' Roses sound without him. He's a monster, a real guitar god.

Quote
- Silkworms & Rhiad & Bedouins will NOT be on Chinese Democracy. They were simply test tracks that the band tried out during the 2001-2002 tour.

That's better. More unheard material. I thank Axl if he decided not to include Silkworms. Rhiad is average, I will not cut my veins off if he doesn't include it.

Old news. But yeah, Rhiad rocks, I really wish we could listen to the studio version.

wasn't a studio version leaked about a year ago of this? that's what i've heard an i thinks it sounds odd too, but i got a file... audience could be removed from live clip maybe..?

Sure. The only real studio leaks are the ones we're getting this month.

I thought Rhiad had a lot of potential too

Rhaid has tons of potential, I just think there's too much going on in it to sound good live.

To me Rhaid sounds like one of those "studio" songs... where a studio version would blow our socks off but live it just doesn't come out right.  Axl also sings too high on the song, but that may also be fixed live.

At any rate I'd love to hear a studio version of Rhaid, because I'm pretty sure it'd be awesome Cool

It probably shouldn't be Chinese Democarcy material tho.
