Ron Thal runs his own recording studio and even has his own record label,meaning that it wouldn't exactly be difficult to re-record buckets parts seeing as he wouldn't have far to travel. Do you think Axl has maybe taken this into account in the selection of him. The guy has a big reputation for producing albums in the "guitar industry" and i can't see the guy wanting to join if he gets no say in the recording and production of Chinese Democracy. I think Axl has made a well thought out choice in bringing him in... both in terms of the re-recording of CD and also in terms of what he will bring to the table for the future albums.

Of course this is all my opinion, but you can't help but wonder............  beer

well he told me that joe satriani got him in... Ron said we both go to mutual places in brooklyn nyc where he is from (signed my ticket about it too) he signs bfoot, but prefers ron if there was a choice.. I was like weren't you in the band 2 years ago, he said no comment... he was great..  He pulled  afew dizzy's comment wise but he had to.. he was happy, he was a slash fan , he loved being there.. he wasn't nervous at all the firstr night.. gave him a big fucking hug,,., Guy was the man, bach and axl scooted out.. Ron was great ,truly respect hima dn let him know that.. peace

The guy's not money motivated, so thats not true!? ok He produced an album and donated 100% of the profit from sales to charity in 2002, what a guy!
