I can't believe someone had the nerve to write "stop posting pointless shit".

Everyone here is speculating about an album that I'm 99% sure is never coming out. You don't get much more pointless than that.

Besides, if people don't say "Do you think GNR will play the Billboard Awards/AMAs/Grammys?", then there wouldn't be 4 pages of bitching about it afterwards, and that would make the whole board go stale.

People need shit to do on Friday night, give them a break!

I think it would be great exposure for the new band if they did a national award show like the grammys. If CD is out (and it sure as hell better be by then!) maybe they could play something really epic like TWAT with  the backing of a small symphony ala november rain. That would be truly amazing.

Prince opened the show a couple years back. It was kinda like his big comeback. Why couldn't GNR do the same thing?

Though I don't think it will. The Grammy's don't seem to appreciate or respect bands like GNR. I mean, not even the original line-up won an award. Led Zeppelin had never won a Grammy until they got the Lifetime Achievement award. Yet people like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears and all these god-awful rappers win dozens of awards.

The Grammy's don't mean shit.

Who cares!  Music these days is such a joke.   Whats even a bigger joke is these award shows.  Sorry I am just not going to waste 4 hrs of my life, watching people get awards, from some kind of committie.

I think Axl would LOVE to have a Grammy award, especially with this new lineup. GN'R has been nominated only once before. Depending on when/if Chinese Democracy is released in 2007, they could certainly be eligible for nominations in 2008.
