Listening to radio 1 and they have there usual battle of songs between centurys, Don't Cry topped the poll by a whopping 60%

Thought this was intressting as it's not one of GNR's bigger hits.

Thoughts?

WTTJ is probably the most famous track of all by GN'R. The casual fan would say SCOM, but WTTJ is played at pretty much EVERY sports event. People who hate rock music have heard that song over and over at every sports event they attend. Think about all the non-fans that have heard that song. Would non-fans know that GN'R sings it? No, but if you listed all their hits without the artist name and asked someone to say which one is most familiar, WTTJ would probably be ahead of even SCOM (even though SCOM had huge crossover success on the pop charts).

i didn't hear the list but it's usually cheesy one hit wonders, some dance tracks and one other credible song.
I said not one of there bigger hits coz if like people i work with don't know GNR very well, just thought it was intresting coz usually the gimmick songs win or the dance track. just suprised a power ballad won it.
