not sure if i'm in the wrong section, sorry if i have to move it.

i just wanted to share this tidbit about bumblefoot...
since his myspace profile isn't currently accepting messages, i asked him in a comment if he would join my friend's new york city charity, Found, thinking that his popularity would help increase participation.  but i had to give him the url instead of linking to it.

he not only allowed the comment to be posted on his page, but he typed in the url and joined the group.  i just wanted to say that i think it was really cool of him to do that.  he's a crazy performer and so so so talented, but as most people know by now, he is also an incredibly nice guy.

so thanks ron.  we really appreciate it.

Ron seems to be a really really cool guy.  Probably the nicest member in Gn'R history.

It's nice to see that no matter how big of a band he'll be in, he's still going to act like the guy in the struggling band trying to make as many fans as possible.  Great guy, awesome guitarest.  He's great for Gn'R.

Ron is a perfect fit for GNR. He is such a 180 degree change from Buckethead.

Nice everyday normal guy VS. eccentric hand puppet speaking oddball.

well, i'm a big bucket-head myself (saw him at bb king's--so killer), but i gotta say ron blows me away, and even though bucket gives out toys and plays like a beast, ron is the shit...absolutely.

Ron is 100% the type of guy this band needs. He reminds me alot of Gilby Clarke, which is not a bad thing. Ron seems to be overjoyed to be apart of GN'R, and is extremely fan-friendly, which the exact image this band needs.

Regardless of what changes may be ahead of Guns N' Roses, if any, Ron Thal should not be pink-slipped.

Why do some people always feel a need to turn every thread into a mr. X versus mr. Y story?

You took the words right out of my mouth. Praise for Bumblefoot does not need we have to bash Bucket. Jeez. Bucket does just as much for his fans, just in different ways. Both are way more giving to the fans than a certain singer.
