somebody made a reference to chinese democracy during the show

Can you give us more details than that?

all i remember is someone saying, 'hopefully well see it before chinese democracy'

they were either referring to a new weezer, cranberries, breeders or lauren hill cd

i was barely awake when i heard it

calm down!!! It seems like th list is strictly 90's GN'R was around before and defiantly after. And if the list contains Hanson consider yourself spared.

Even "Oh My God" is better than the majority of songs they had.  Wasted 5 hours watching the whole thing just waiting for the part where they would talk about Guns N' Roses....and nothing.

Yeah, about that CD reference. They were talking about Lauryn Hill and some British singer/song writer they had commenting, I think his name was Ben Lee or Ben Harper, something. Anyway, they were talking about how brilliant she was and how they wanted a new solo album from her and he said "Fingers crossed we get it before "Chinese Democracy""...

The biggest thing that bothers me about this list is that it's not just something Vh1 made up. It was voted on by fans and I'm shocked that no one at least considered NR to be one of the best of the 90s

So they mention Chinese Democracy but no gnr songs make the list?  Cheesy Grin That's... Actually I don't have a word to describe what it is.  smoking

Peaches is a good song though!

The Presidents of the United States of America's "Peaches"

I agree... The Presidents are Great... but November Rain should have been on the list if they were.

Nin's "closer" is not even on this list. And im pretty sure VH1 just had a similar special where fans voted for best video of the 90's and Closer was number 1.

or he could have just gone to VH1.com, they have all their lists on the site.

November rain def should have been on there.

it was funny watching this show - the 90s was just ALL OVER THE PLACE with types of music, different sounds.

I think I'll be throwing up a little in my mouth when they show the top 100 songs of the 2000s...   So many shitty songs.

I thought November Rain was going to make the top 5.  I can not stand that Whitney Houston song.  She is a crack head now and her fans are stronger the GNR fans?  I don't get it.  I thought the VR fans would atleast vote for Slash Matt, and Duff.  Do the VR fans hate GNR?  Or are there any VR fans out there.  I just think GNR fans got screwed again and this was not Axl's doing.  I think we should start a petition that November Rain should have been on that list and lets see how strong this GNR family really is.

Also NIN and Manson should have been in the top 20.  That music changed my life more then grunge did.  Hanson and that big butt song you laugh at when they come on.  November Rain, one, Closer you stop and say to yourself damn this is great music.
