I thought he did a good job, considering I think it's the first time he's performed it live.  I bet if I look I can find a performance from Scott that's worse. Cheesy

Agreed, wouldn't take long.  Scott has one of the easiest voices in rock to cover.

I think Myles has a great voice. He will only get better Slash says in one of the vids that they were only doing their second gig. It is apparant that Myles and Slash are bonding which is something that was not apparent with Scott ever. For me as good as Civil War sounded I missed the red one. I kept looking for him. Just habit for me with that song I guess.

I am really looking forward to the tour.

i just don't like the guys delivery or voice in general, no comparisons necessary.

I can kind of see the delivery part, but I like his voice (e.g. Starlight, Back From Cali) and he sounds good live.  Okay, no comparisons, but that could have been fun. hihi

Scott has one of the most limited voices in rock, but in his vocal range he does pretty good... Its when he tries to leave his range it all goes to hell.  If Myles wanted to, I am pretty sure he could sound almost identical to Scott.

Authored DVD Video with menu and chapters can also be seeded if this is OK with the moderators. Not sure whether this is acceptable or not - please comment..

The video isn't as good as it could be - MTV Classic is a 4x3 channel and the show was shot 16x9 and broadcast as 4x3 letterboxed. Anyway, as I said, if it's OK to upload an MTV show, let me know..."

Slash Records The Theme For Triple M

by Paul Cashmere - May 24 2010

Slash has taken to the studio to resurrect the old Triple M theme.

The original track used for the theme retitled ‘Dr Dan’ was written by Mike Batt who these days manages Katie Melua. Batt also wrote the Art Garfunkel classic ‘Bright Eyes’.

Original Triple M owner Rod Muir used his track ‘The Journey of The Fool’ from his 1980 album Tarot Suite and renamed it ‘Dr Dan’ after his yacht for the opening of the original Triple M radio station in Sydney.

The current Triple M, now owned by Austereo, is taking a step back to the original Muir origins of the station by not only bringing back the theme but also the original logo used by Muir in Sydney in the 80s.

Slash recorded the new version of the theme when he was in Australia last month for the launch of MTV Classic.
