There's also Docklands and Detroit. Not great recordings, tho.

SLAM DUNK!!!

« Reply #148 on: May 28, 2009, 03:40:51 PM »

Okay so I really really like this song and so last night I set it as my ringtone and anxiously awaited someone to call me.

Sure enough, a few minutes later, the phone goes off and just as I looked down at the caller-id displaying "MOM" .... Axl drops the F-bomb!!!  Shocked

Funny how I never really noticed before how emphatically he sings that.  hihi

My ringtone is now Scraped.   Tongue

IMO, this is the song that sounds the most like "AFD on steroids".

Not bad, but not something I have a desire to listen to often.

Can't understand why this song isn't more well liked.  I guess maybe because of the choppiness?

It has a mean riff and bassline, great vocals, love the sonic bursts of sounds on the chorus and the chorus itself.  Ron's solo is a little crazy but in a good way

I used to feel that way.  I never really liked it from the live boots I heard.  But the demo made it worlds better for me, then the final product made it even better.  It's not among my most favorite GNR songs ever but considering where I ranked it before, it's lightyears ahead.

The song rocks!!!  That's for sure.

It is one of my favorite GNR songs ever. Since the Vegas bootleg, I love this song that much. To me, it does sounds like "AFD on steroids", but also it has the best groove of all the songs in the album. Thanks to Josh Freese and Brain for the awesome drumming and Tommy for writing such a mean riff.

Very well put. I can't wait to hear this song live again, I find myself going back to it over and over. It's one of those songs that challenge you so that you keep going back to it, and in the end becomes impossible to resist.Cool
