Really?! This is just BS on Fortus part. He has nothing to do with the fight between Axl and Slash.

He's just stating that he doesn't want to create any extra drama by playing eight the guy.
Pretty obvious.

I agree.

And I think its the right move.  It would be unnecessarily antagonistic with no real payoff.

I could care less about what he thinks is the right thing to do reagarding two 50 year olds who can't play nice..

My take from the interview is how he hasn't heard from the GNR "camp" in a long time . I feel that's the part that should be of concern.

"Should" be of concern to whom?

To those of us who'd prefer to see GNR perform and release some new music in the near future. If you're one who doesn't care when that happens... then yes , it's not a concern to you.

Oh, so you represent a joint collective. How interesting.  Roll Eyes

I have all intentions of buying the next release and travelling to multiple shows when touring starts again, I'm just not naive enough or entitled enough to think anyone decides when that will be except GNR.

Thanks for establishing what people "should" be concerned about though, it is invaluable information.

Yes, yes, Emily.  We know you had a hell of a time at the last show you were at.

And how it fills your heart with gladness and takes away all your sadness to think about the opportunity to do it the next time, whenever that is.

However, when is any of that ever an answer to the questions you are asked?  Rarely, if ever.

Nobody has asked me any questions and I don't pretend to be some sort of expert nor spokesperson for the band.

When there is something to announce it will be announced, is that so hard to grasp?

None of us are.  We are fans on a message board.

No one has ever claimed to be any of those things.  Not one time, ever.

But what does that have to do with anything we are talking about here?

What is the connection of that concept to the concept that the answer to a question about speculation about the band's future is never, ever, ever, "I sure had a good time at my show last year."

Yawn, more cherrypicking and nonsense from you.

What part of The band is on a hiatus and when there is something to announce, it will be announced, do you fail to grasp? Those are facts, what you post a great deal of the time are your lame and baseless assumptions that intend to paint the band in as negative a light as possible.

That's your rule.  There are others that subscribe to such a concept, but you seem to be the only one that seems to treat it like a religion.

It should be obvious by now that all the stamping your feet and calling people mean names is not stopping the violation of this concept you hold so dear.  No?

Its obvious speculation will always occur.  If it bothers you to the extent it appears to, I'd probably stop paying attention to it.

Thinking you are going to stomp it out is a fool's errand.  It's human nature.

More vast delusion from you, nobody I know considers it a religion.

Idiotic speculation will always occur in a certain sector of "fans" why does it bother you to have your idiot speculation labeled as such?

Only fool on an errand here is you, to try and paint the entire situation as bleak and dark as possible.

You are a toxic typhoid Mary of "fans", spreading your supposed "insights" and faulty logic around as fact.

When there is something to announce, it will be announced- until then you can whine until the cows come home and it won't change a thing.  crying

Hey, do you think when something is ready to be announced, it will be?

A follow up, if I might?  Is that a tough concept to grasp, yea or nay?

Emily, not one person here disputes your little mantra that nothing is announced until its ready.  It just doesn't add much to the discourse.

No matter what discussion is going on, that's always your contribution.  But no one disagrees with you.
