I don't mind the Godfather Theme. But I really wish Slash could play Voodoo Child (and NOT Vooodoo CHILE for fucking sake, this is a different Hendrix song) again before Civil War. Smiley

Godfather? Why not? Sounded great. Sounds great and epic. Does it hvae a nostalgic vibe to it. Of course. Doesn't matter. Something fresh would be great too. Don't think you can beat The Godfather.

I love Slash's 'Godfather' theme.

I cut out Sorum's drum solo and the first Slash solo from my bootleg playlists, but leave on 'Godfather' whenever I can.

I've never seen Slash live, so I would like it. I mean its whatever.

I wouldn't want each guitarist to do a solo though. However many they have.

I  mean Slash just making up a random solo for a 3-5 minutes is fine. No drum solo please! lol

I'm cool with a solo or 2 if they are quick. I think people would be more into hearing the songs they love and all that more than solos. Part of me hopes something cool and fresh is done with a Slash solo and part of me kinda wants that Godfather one. It is badass.

Solos are generally bathroom breaks.

I thought they were smart on the UYI tour where the solos doubled as intros to songs (Wild Horses/Patience, Only Women Bleed/Knockin' On Heaven's Door)

He should do Watch This the instrumental song from his solo album with Duff. It's probably my favorite song post VR that he has done

Great idea. Solo-spot packed in a great tune.

I was just about to suggest the same. Between these guys there's mountains of material they could play and if Axl puts his slant on any VR material the fans will go wild. This reunion opens up many set list possibilities that would seem fresh. Even playing old tunes that were never played live would be easy for the guys to pull off and very satisfactory for die hard fans... crash diet, don't damn me, breakdown... take Steven and Izzy out for Civil War and some Spaghetti and AFD material. These shows could be awesome with a fresh new set list

well, Set Me Free, sung in switching low-high voice (kind of like It's So Easy) could actually be blasting Cheesy

Well if Slash and Duff are thinking of staying in Guns this time it'd be a shame to not get to hear VR tunes live again and Axls voice would fit perfect in any of those tunes

nah, those were made for Scott's voice, which is totally different. but Axl could indeed make something great off some of those. same about both Snakepit records - totally unsuitable for Axl.

This is bunkum, thats like saying The Seeker would only suit Roger Daltry's voice, or McCarney's for LALD or the best example yet Whole lotta Rosie would only suit Bon Scott, both Brian Johnson and Axl are the bomb when they sing it.  Don't want to diss anybody but until its proven otherwise, you just don't know... rant

I just wonder if Slash will do a 25 minute Rocket Queen/solo jam like he does at his shows with Myles and the Conspirators. That would be great and give Axl plenty of time to recover for the end of the show.

Yeah I'm totally cool with a solo being done to help Axl.

Singing is the hardest thing to do when you older. Playing guitar/drums/keyboards etc... is much easier as I've said before.

I want the Godfather theme or something we've never heard. Axl might need a 5-8 minute blow in the mid point or 2/3 of the set.
