in yesterdays show on norwegian TV they made it sound like GNR cancelled dozin's of shows... they were only picking on axl....

but how many were there?

cant be THAT many....  nervous

also, they picked on axl for cancelling the show in RIR3 'cuz of buckethead's departure.... and he said it sarcastic and everyone think's its axl fault now.....  (even though he is not free of guilt..)

EDIT: i meant back in the slash and duff days.... not new, so dont bother posting the 2002tour!

I really don't know Huh, but I guess there was just too much SSDD
and not enough
M-o-n-e-y to make it a worthwhile venture for the corporations--hence the "benjamin whiplash of 2002"

How many shows have they cancelled....hmmm

Well there was about 12 in 2002, 1 in 2004, maybe 5-6 between 1990-1993, but go back to 1986-87 there are zillions they called off because Axl's voice fucked up or they were kicked off tours.......

gnrontour.com has all the details

When GNR were at their prime it wasn't as many as people made out but they have cancelled many many shows

Since this isn't a Limp Bizkit board, I suggest we stay on the topic of GN'R:

1991:
August 21st Oslo, Norway - Axl was in Paris
1992:
June 24th, Belgium - Duff was sick
July 4th Madrid, Spain - venue closed
1993:
February 26th - Four shows cancelled owing to adverse weather conditions between February 26th and March 4th
April 15th, Atlanta, GA - the cops were after Axl.

I think these were cancelled too Chicago, IL 1992 and some show in Dayton, OH (when Axl cut his hand)?.

The dayton,OH show did not get canceled, He cut his hand during the third or fourth song, took a few minute break, came back out with a towel on his hand and played for another two hours, however the next shows in Detroit were canceled I believe.

WWW
« Reply #13 on: April 23, 2004, 02:19:41 AM »

Some times ago I tried to find all the more GNR tour dates for my french website, I found 590 shows. 99 of this show has been cancelled.

The first show that has been cancelled is this one:

USA, AZ, Celebrity Theatre, Phoenix - Annul? 13.02.88

That means that 16,8% of the shows has been cancelled from 86 to 2004... Grin
