Hey, you caught me in a Coma...

« on: November 17, 2004, 04:53:10 AM »

I downloaded ?That Something? and ?Cold Hard Cash? today. I?d have to listen to them a few times before I can give much of an opinion. I was wondering why these songs weren?t included on the Cleopatra album though. It?s not like it couldn?t have used them (with all the song recycling and all). Anyone know?

I think that the main reason that these songs were not in the album is that they weren't good enough to go to the mastering room. Technically speaking...

After listening to them, I think you may be right. I don't know if the four included songs originally sound like the "original" versions that are on the album though.

The reason those songs don't appear on the H.R. disc is because Chris Webber doesn't own the rights to them.  The 5 songs that appear on the cd are from the first demo that Hollywood Rose did, which Chris Webber is the owner of.  He sold it to Cleo. records and they released it.  That's why Axl couldn't sue against Cleo. records or Chris Webber.  The songs mentioned, and I guess any other songs recored by Hollywood Rose are partley (or wholey) owned by Axl, so I wouldn't expect to see them ever released offically.
