Hi everyone, how are you doing?
? ? ? ? ? ? ?Well guys I would like to share something that in my personal Opinion is really,? cool and showed me a side of Axl, that makes me relate even more with him,? at the same time that I feel more respect about him -- if you haven't noticed it before -- , I don't want to bore you anymore and here it comes,? if you watch the Paris (pay per view event with Leny Kravitz, and the Aerosmith guys) when Axl is singing, Sail Away sweet sister + bad time, he sings the last part before Sweet Child o'mine starts, and when he finishes, Slash starts playing the song. I noticed that Axl finishes singing "Bad time"? and suddenly he vows, but stays on his feet looking at the floor, while the wind is blowing his hair, and listens to "Slash"...? for some seconds he looks kind of sad, weary, melancholic, and weak -- for me --? I don't know what he might be thinking then, but it looks fantastic, well I hope you go and watch this cause its really diferent, and if you have seen it before, thanks for taking the time to read, have a great time!

P.S. I respect Axl even more than before. Axl rules? ok

That Paris Pay per view concert was the last great GN'R Concert. It somehow made you forget that there was a dumb chick horn section, reggae in KOHD, and Dudes wearing biker shorts. It had bearded Axl, which is so fucking cool. It was their overblown live show, but still oozed raw, that hadn't been felt by GN'r since the Appetite days.

Yea that show was something very special. Plus it had maybe the best Axl Rant ever (Fuck Warren Beatty).

wow, you being serious?

Raw was GNR stripped down to the basics, playing a dirty sweaty hard rock show at joints like the Ritz. They were 4 guys who were these talented dirty artists who wanted to kick the shit out of you with their music.

Watch the Ritz show dude. Then tell me again how the Get In The Ring, UYI tour was more raw.

Richard Fortus, the phenomenon

The Paris show was exeptional. Axl was phenomenal, Slash was phenomenal, the whole band was also great. The crowd was energetic. It was a peper-view show, broadcasted in the world, lenny Kravitz and Aerosmith as special guests (it's another level that Master Mike hihi), a 3H show, 60.000 people...the top of GN'R. It was a huge Rock fest. GN'R popularity was extremely high during that time in Paris (I remember). They were far more popular than Nirvana (but thing changed around late'93/1994 when Cobain commited suicide, Nirvana became more popular and GN'R didn't exist anymore the band had already broken up). In 1992 GN'R was the most popular Rock band here (with U2).

Nowadays, I can't imagine 60.000 people going to a GN'R concert again in Paris unless Slash comes back. My dream would be to see GN'R at "parc des Princes", but unless a phenomenal Chinese Democracy album with several Top 5 singles, the band without Slash is like almost zero popularity. people are like "What? Slash is not here anymore? ok good bye it doesn't interest me". Don't forget Slash has his own strong fanbase and that he brang/brings a lot of people at concert on his own...

Axl is a great performer. And the biggest reason he is, is he puts himself in every performance. I'm sure his expression is real. I have seen it many times. That song always gets to him.
And no it isn't for show. What you see is what you get.
