Anyone ever see this play/movie? It is the most amazing movie ever! Go rent it. The best rock musical ever.

Was an awesome play, I saw it off broadway, and the movie also was amazing!

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a play which was made into a movie, written by and staring James Cameron Mitchell. It's about a man from East Germany who has a sex-change operation in order to marry and enter the US. But the operation goes wrong and he is left with "an angry inch" of flesh. Once in the US, she/he takes a misguided youth in his/her wings and he becomes Hedwig's protegee. But then this person, Tommy Gnosis becomes a huge star. The movie is about Hedwig stocking Tommy Gnosis because she/he wrote the songs on his album. That's the nuts and bolts of it, but that doesn't do the movie justice. Also, the soundtrack (all original songs) is fantastic.
