Lyrically it's also a gem - One of Axl's finest moments.? ok

I don't think so... I think his statement describing the song is better. It has better lyrics hihi

TWAT is far from a ballad.  it is as hard rocking as most songs on illusions.  i think i remember hearing that protitute was a slow building epic so if that is correct then i expect it to be like twat.

yeah twat is lid mid-tempo song.. not ballad not rocker..
prostitute is said to be a heavy rocker with tons of shredding and orchestration.. the guy that arranged the orchestation said it was like "ice and fire"....

Well, I do think you've got a point there. I think he is tryin to introduce us to what we can expect.

It started with IRS, which is the closest to old skool GnR and ends with CITR which is the most far away from the old GnR. So I think these are are introductions.....and yeah I absolutely think there's much more stuff that is even more different from the old GnR.

I think both IRS and CITR are of UYI genre. But I do hope there are more rockers like Chinese Democracy. OMG is average at best, and I have tried so very hard to like it, and  have listened  to it so many times, but it just does nothing for me.

I personally think that we can't really say ANYTHING yet. We've heard leaked songs, songs that are amazing even though they're (probably) still demos. We can't say whether or not the songs we HAVEN'T heard are rockers, ballads, epics, mid-tempos, or acoustics.

Don't lose faith in Axl. We'll get a stonking great big classic album that will be talked about for decades after this! You can be sure of it. He's done it with Appetite, and he's done it with the Illusions, and he'll do it again with Chinese Democracy.

Lets just be patient yea? That way we won't get ourselves worked up over what's in our imaginations, and won't get into petty baseless arguments. ok

It was not him alone, he had Izzy, who was and is a great song writer. And Slash contributed killer riffs and the edge. So it was the whole band, not just Axl.

I think that was the first post where she didn't threaten to kick someone in the nuts or anally rape them.? hihi

I agree with you that it was a band effort with AFD and UYI, but with what I've heard in IRS, Chinese Democarcy and the end of TWAT I don't have any doubt the hard songs will be on CD. Robin was what got me back interested in GNR and his guitar fits perfect with the new songs.

KrispyKreme I realize that it wasn't just Axl who contributed to the songs, but you're forgetting that it isn't just Axl who's contributing to the songs NOW! Yes he's got most of the control over the songs, but he still isn't doing it all himself! I realize that.

But, Izzy, Slash, Duff, Steven/Matt... they're not the only talented musicians in the world capable of contributing to Axl's new songs... I'm not saying that you think that, but I'm just sayin'.
But as far as I'm concerned, Axl was, is, and will always be Guns N' Roses. The others played a part in Axl's game. Important parts, but it was still Axl's game. Always has been.

He proved that with his presence, his voice, his song writing abilities, his attitude, his inability to step down and obey someone else, and his ballsiness... Who else has done exactly what they wanted to do and had the sheer balls to stand up to The Man and say "Ya know what, NO! I won't do that!".
Axl wants to live his life his way, and damn right too! Yea, we're fans, and sometimes when things don't go our way we stomp our feet and spout off a load of insults. But in the end, what exactly are you gunna do about it!? No one has any power over Axl. He can and will do exactly what he wants, when he wants. And that's why I respect him. peace

Axl rocks! yes

And misterID.... rofl I only threaten those who insult Axl... and if they insulted right in front of me then they don't get a warning. I just kick, and I don't regret. They do. hihi If its a girl they get a hard slap across the face and a catfight...

Prostitute probably is the track I would most identify with being a rocker. General sounds like another sprawling epic, as is This I Love. As for rumored songs Seven, Zodiac, and Thyme...anyone's guess.

And you have heard these songs, so you know?
