I wouldn't be surprised if Ajax Garcia or Acey Slade gets the job.

yeah yeah....I have the name of the 3rd guitar player, he is called Robchard Fincktus.
He has 2 heads, 4 hands and can play Lead and Rythm at the same time?

I will not be happy til Axl gets Paul Gilbert or every guitarist but, Paul Gilbert... Lets just throw up as many people as we possibly can. I also think that if Dean Roland from Collective Soul is doing nothing we go hunt his ass down too.

I am going to say that Balsac the Jaws of Death from Gwar is the new guitarist.  He decided to join GNR on their reign over the free people of earth and temorarily leave Gwar to help crush humanity into a tiny maggot-sized entity at the wishes of such elite right wing people such as Father Bohab and Don Drakulich.  This should squash all rumours that Nigel Tuffnel is the replacement.

it's would be much more interesting if izzy came back and/or worked on the record than slash or any other musician imo....

I had that Izzy thought also... Izzy did write a song for Axl a while back, and Axl mentioned speaking to him... seems like they're on ok terms. Everyone always says "well Izzy doesn't wanna tour" etc. but that was ages ago with all the excess... seems like the new band (free of drugs) would suit him ok.

Izzy/Fortus/Finck? Would that be workable? Trading leads?

why not just get a touring guitarist, and when in the studio do what NIN does? and then they dont have to worry about adding a third guitarist

then its no big deal who plays, as long as the player can handle the songs

Personally, I can't wait until the 12th.  Not only will we find out who the new guitartist is, assuming that there even *is* a new guitarist, but we can all hopefully have something new and legitimate to discuss.  All these repetitive rumors and "wouldn't it be cool if..." threads are making my head hurt.

May 12.

Exactly. It's only 11 days then we'll know all. Maybe we should hold off threads like this until then.

Will we know ?

How can we be sure there is a 3rd guitarist ?

Even if they have one in NYC that person may only be a fill in until they find a permanent guy.

I for one, have no clue on who the 3rd guitarist may be, assuming there is one.
But, being from Lafayette, IN area myself originally, I would love to see Axl and Izzy on stage on the 12th.  That would be assume
