haha, thats quite amusing, when I heard Towers of Londonw ere supporting at some gigs i was desperate to see them at the nottingham gig. I don't understand how people can hate them "that" much to be honest. Kinda amusing people view them as a GNR cover band type, everything I heard from the press was 'mix of motley crue and the sex pistols'.

I saw a mini-show they did at a HMV with my girlfriend and a mate, the three of us all loving GNR, we all really really liked them. It was only after about 10-15 mins of a 20-min show when they busted out a guitar solo that my friend and I looked at each other and thought that it was like classic-era slash, other than that I didn't think a huge amount of GNR, the lead singer was way more Jonny Rotten than Axl really.

They're a decent band! In the words of Steven Tyler 'You've got to fake it 'til you make it!' Smiley

Does anyone know the times bands are coming on at? And does Bach do any Skid Row? Particularly Youth Gone Wild and 18 and Over?

In Newcastle, Bach came on about 8 - 8.30 from what I remember.  His set is mostly old Skid Row stuff.  He does play Youth Gone Wild and 18 and Life.

Towers of london rock.

they play some good "glam punk" and i enjoy it. they have simple but fun songs and the singer makes up for his vocals by his crazy antics on stage. i wish i could have them support at brum. but instead of get whinney roaring people from wales.

Hurricane Party (now Roadstar) are better IMO, and The Answer are meant to be very good

Agreed!  Now there is a worthy support act for GnR.  The Glitterati are ok but nothing too special, like someone said, I wouldn't go out and buy their album.  Roadstar/Hurricane Party kick ass though.

Well, my band has played with The Glitterati, Roadstar, The Answer & Towers Of London and I can say 100% that The Glitterati are by far the best band if you want something that sounds 'now'.  The Answer are an amazing live band but very retro - so you need to like Free & Led Zep etc.  Roadstar are too cheesy in my opinion.  Towers Of London are a punk band - anyone comparing them to GNR is an idiot.  They are a good fun band and should be taken for what they are.

Why can't we have a class support act, like the good old days of Faith No More and NIN.

I remember seen NIN at Wembley stadium, and there were only a few of us who had heard of them, the rest of the crowd were just looking at Trent rolling around on the floor! It was quite strange seeing NIN playing at something like 4.00pm in the afternoon, definitely needs to be dark for a NIN gig hihi
