Let's try this...........

Axl... please play "Oh My God" as a one off addition to the set list. You could play it in dedication to all the fans who have stuck with the band during this "Chinese Democracy" era. And it will further strengthen the bands bond with it's fans at HTGTH. ok

Someone should start to chant 'Oh My God' in the audience then.

would be great if they release it with CD but as a bonus track

yeah like 2 minutes after the last song on CD OMG kicks off in a re-recorded vesrion, just like "look at your game girl" after "i don't care about you" on TSI

and then 2 minutes after OMG silkworms makes it's studioversion debut ok yes that would be great peace

i'd like to hear OMG without all the stuff on Axl's voice.........do agree, rather have it maybe on a B-side of one of the singles than on the album.....just cause of room that's all...

I'm a fan of OMG. And the live version was a vast improvement. Sadly, I think its time came and went. However, if they have a beefed-up version sitting around and it finds its way onto an album after CD I'll be happy.

I personally love the song... one of my top five favorite gnr tunes! I wish they'd bring it back live... the vocals are outstanding as well as the lyrics, and the intric music.... awesome!

I'm not a huge fan of this song.  I think it sounds like Axl is experimenting with something that doesn't work with the GN'R sound.   It's not a bad song but not a GN'R song.  More like a Rob Zombie song.

That would be KICK ASS? ok

Knowing Axl, all of Chinese Democracy would probably be hidden tracks hihi

 rofl

Seriously though YES I miss Oh My God!
... and Silkworms? *ducks*

I'm mean it!? Those songs ROCK HARD!

Fuckin' A! I can understand why Silk Worms doesn't exactly jive with the casual fan, but that shit is a gem. Totally deserves a studiorelease. The part around the 2 minute mark with the synth is almost psychedelic. Pitman got some serious talent.

GN'R and Pitman forever.

Would you describe the 2 minute mark and funky techno beats or super funky techno beats?

i love OMG. it's how i got back into GNR. my roommate at the time was big into hip hop and he told me "if axl rose pissed into a microphone you'd buy the recording."  but i loved the song and still listen to it all the time.

i think axl said something about regretting releasing it, and kind of being convinced to do so, and that sucks - but it meant a lot to me.

and also, it came with an awesome press release.

"The fight of good vs. evil, positive vs. negative, man against a seemingly undefeatable, undeterrable, unrevealed destiny, along with the personal and universal struggle to attain, maintain and responsibly manage freewill can be and often is frustrating to say the least."  -Axl Rose.

it`s from 1999....   most other songs we know were written then as well

we even have the irs, twat and catcher in the rye demos from 1999

i think they should play it live again. i guess it was on the options list in 2002 as they played the intro at various shows (london in august for example...)

Did they??? do you remember when in the set?  I was there and I dont recall at all - must dig out the bad quality boot i have lurking at home...

at the end of buckets solo for some seconds
