Here Today...

« on: November 14, 2006, 11:13:18 PM »

I know that threads around here are sometimes read by or passed along to Beta, Merck and/or Axl himself.  So I just want to take a few minutes and thank everyone involved with the tour, from top to bottom.  Last night I had the time of my life.  I've been to dozens of concerts over the past several years and this one easily takes the top prize.

From the time we pulled into the parking garage, you could almost instantly feel the electricity.  And that feeling stayed with me long after the concert was over.  The Suicide Girls, while not enjoyed by all, were at the least entertaining.  Then you've got Sebastian Bach and his band, which despite a few microphone problems, tore it up!  You can tell that he is having the time of his life this tour.

There was no stopping GnR though.  Any doubts that anyone has about GnR their passion, intentions, and talent should disappear within the opening minutes of the set.  Axl's voice was honestly as good as I've ever heard it live.  Robin, Richard, and Ron we're unbelievable.  To the point where the fat guy two rows back who was screaming for Slash in the beginning, was playing air guitar along from It's So Easy and through the remainder of the night.  Frank was great on drums, as well as Tommy on bass, and Dizzy on piano as usual.  People, who've given these guys grief and doubt after what happened in Maine, need to know that these guys are showing real heart and desire this time around.

By the way, people are loving the new stuff, and after last night, I truly think that GnR should put Chinese Democracy out ASAP.  It might not happen instantly, but through time, the Guns are going to be "MONSTERS" of the world of music once again!

Once again, I just want to thank Axl and the boys for another experience that I'll never forget.  The show was amazing, and you guys had me in awe through most of the set.  I had the time of my life!

Thank you Axl, Robin, Richard, Ron, Tommy, Dizzy, Chris, Frank, Brain, Merck & Beta

You're all making our dream come true.

Thank you for keeping the myth of Guns N' Roses alive.

Axl, if you're reading this: how can you sing IRS, like you did in Rock Am Ring, without destroying your vocal chords?

I try to sing that song in the shower like you and I inmediatly got a headache.  hihi

Please everyone, be careful in the shower.

We don't need any I.R.S. related shower injuries. One minute you're singing, rocking, "It's such a crime you know it's TRUUUUUUUUUUUUuu..." Then BAMM you've collapsed and smashed your head against the wall and you've got a strange explanation to give the medics.

I am absolutly conscious that I will die in the shower, and at a short age.
5 years of 1 shower a day ALWAYS singing Guns N' Roses songs.

I will die, breaking my head with the floor, doing ''air-Guitar'' with the ''boogie boogie dance'' that Robin does in his solos.

I would also like to take a minute to thank Axl Rose for keeping Guns N Roses alive. It is great to have the band touring and an imminent release of what will be without a doubt the greatest rock album since Use Your Illusions. Thank you Axl, Robin, Richard, Ron, Tommy, Dizzy, Chris, Frank, Brain, Merck & Beta. Thank you very much.  yes

And I too would like to thank Guns N Roses far, far, FAR in advance for their upcoming Australian shows in the future. I know that it is a experience I won't forget and it is something I am already looking forward to and counting down the days, in a way. But that I know is only now more possible than it always has been due to the great people who support and steer the machine that is Guns N Roses. You guys are all fucking amazing people, great musicians. I look forward to the new album and the aforementioned tour someday soon I hope. Keep up the great work, all of you.

 Grin

p.s. that goes for Jarmo too and his long standing support for the band with this website

I want to thank Axl and the boys as well. When I told my husband (he's overseas) I got GNR tickets to MSG, first then he said "nice, you're dream come true" and it truly was. Much thanks and congrats on a successful tour.
I have one request...if you guys can possibly play a show in Honolulu!!! I would love to see GNR with my husband when he returns in December.
