What was each lineup's best performance, in your opinion?

Also, what do you think are the best available audio and video recordings of each lineup?

Please refrain from saying "THIS SHOW WAS THE BEST BECAUSE I WAS THERE".

They can be different from the show you list as "Best Performance".

Like from the 2006 lineup with Brain, I think Rock AM Ring has the best audio and video bootleg, but it isn't necessarily the best performance.

The ones I've listed are the best for audio. Except HOB they're all soundboards. I'm not so crazy about video, but most of them have good video too, with the exception of HOB.

I'm going with the same as polluxlm, but I can't decide between MSG or Boston 2002

I would say the Winnipeg show.
Dec 4th 2006

Special Guest: Bubbles:

First show where all the preformers were very well received.  THe crowd was their to party and have a good time.  The crowd never got into booing any of the bands and was absolutly amazing for GnR.  That and the addition of Bubbles made it one of the "special shows"  Also Axl talked a lot durning this show.  Talking about how the drug dogs at customs went crazy around the band manager because he was standing beside Bach.  Getting the crowd to sing really load so Helmut's bassist could hear us back in Newyork,  Then the rendition with Bubbles (from trailer park boys) was fantastic.  He made Bubbles go up to the "Ego ramp"  Also made Bubbles stay on for the next song "Used to love her" as well.
Also one of the few shows where Fink crowd surfed.

Was Frank with them at the Wembley show? I thought Brain was still with the band then.

Yes, Frank was with the band at Wembley.  He was with the band from near the end of June thru the rest of the European tour.  and then Brain played the 5 shows on the west coast in September, and then Frank did the 1st leg of the US tour.

Just to clarify, when I have Audio Bootleg and Video Bootleg listed, I'm asking what shows in your opinion have the best audio and video bootlegs.

They can be different from the show you list as "Best Performance".

Like from the 2006 lineup with Brain, I think Rock AM Ring has the best audio and video bootleg, but it isn't necessarily the best performance.

Sorry, I missed this, here's my list again:

1985-1990
Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Adler -

Performance: Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, Japan Dec 1988
Audio Recording: ''Self Destruct Era'' Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, Japan Dec 1988*
Video Recording: CBGB's 1987 / Farm Aid IV
* All tracks SBD A+ except from a piece of Nightrain and PC (if I remember well)

1991
Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Sorum, Dizzy -

Performance: Wembley Stadium - London, England 8.31.91
Audio Recording: ''The Riot Act'' St Louis 91 / ''Vanishing Point'' Worcester 1991
Video Recording: St Louis 91 (Bondage) Pro-Shot

1991-1993
Axl, Slash, Duff, Gilby, Sorum, Dizzy -

Performance: Metrodome - Minneapolis, MN 1992
Audio Recording: Estadio River Plate - Buenos Aires, Argentina 5.12.92
Video Recording: Oklahoma 92 (JohnM proshot)

2001
Axl, Finck, Buckethead, Stinson, Tobias, Brain, Dizzy, Pittman -

Performance: Rock In Rio III Festival
Audio Recording: ''Brazilian Democracy'' / ''Rock In Rio III'' Rock In Rio III Festival (soundboard A+)
Video Recording: Rock In Rio III (all DVDs are basically all the same)

2002
Axl, Finck, Buckethead, Stinson, Fortus, Brain, Dizzy, Pittman -

Performance: London Docklands Arena Aug2002
Audio Recording: Pittsburgh @ Mellon Arena SBD A+ (Tacoma, Columbus & Boston are A+ SBD's also)*
Video Recording: Boston 2002 3cammix (JohnM) DVD
* The FLAC files surfaced late. There were several mp3 sourced bootlegs from this show like ''The Pitts''

2006
Axl, Finck, Bumblefoot, Stinson, Fortus, Brain, Dizzy, Pittman -

Performance: Download Festival 2006
Audio Recording: Rock Am Ring Festival 2006 SBD (mp3 only)
Video Recording: Rock Am Ring Festival 2006 Pro-shot (several versions, I have gunnershome's, rocks!)

2006-present
Axl, Finck, Bumblefoot, Stinson, Fortus, Frank, Dizzy, Pittman -

Performance: MSG 2006
Audio Recording: Toronto @ Air Canada Centre (Available in lossless format)
Video Recording: There's a DVD of 12.20.06 @ Gibson Amphitheatre that I dont know if it is already circulating. I've downloaded a sample and it is KILLER. More info here:
