OK, I got a question for everyone from England.....anyways....I live in Las Vegas, and there are bowling alleys everywhere...So, we got a new guy at work earlier this week. and our work has bowling partys/get togethers every month. This guy said that he really didnt know what bowling was, only had a vauge idea. He said they don't have bolwing alleys in England.....which I find hard to believe. Is he telling the truth, or has he just lived a very sheltered life?

There's bowling alleys in England but it's not like they're everywhere. It's just not as big in the UK as in the States.

India (with some historical data showing it popped up in Finland around the same time and later in Germany).
You're probably thinking of Lawn Bowling (which is more like Bocce than "pin bowling").
