Jonathan Pease and rocker Slash unite

July 10, 2008 12:00am

FROM Australia's Next Top Model to America's Next Top Groupie - Jonathan Pease is rocking his way to the top of the fashion pops thanks to help from his friends.

Having wrapped his commitments with the Fox8 face-off last week, Pease now has jetted off to Los Angeles to kickstart his brand new joint venture with former Guns N' Roses guitarist god Slash.

The unlikely duo are long-term mates and are collaborating on a video game formatted around fashion and styling, with Slash drawing from his experience working on the successful Playstation gaming project Guitar Hero.

Slash Goes From Guitar Hero To Fashion Hero [Stranger Than Slash Fiction]

juli 9, 2008

Guns And Roses guitarist and top-hat lover Slash wasn't kidding when he said that gaming had endless possibilities. The aging rocker is teaming up with long-time friend and Australia's Next Top Model stylist Jonathan Pease to work on a video game centered around fashion and styling. According to The Daily Telegraph, Pease is heading off to Los Angeles to launch the new venture with his Guitar Hero friend, so odds are good that we'll hear something about this new title at E3 next week.

Slash and fashion? Really? How many different combinations of long-hair and top hat can you possibly have? Note that the picture accompanying the Telegraph article features a clean-cut Slash, while his wife sports the hat/hair combo, in adherence with the law of conservation of rock.

From an interview with Jonathan Pease in Cosmopolitan...

You're currently working on a video game based on styling and fashion with Slash - what can you tell us about it?

Wow, news travels fast!  I work for an ideas company called Naked Communications and as my job title would suggest, "Executive Ideas Director", I'm charged with developing new and unique ideas for a living.

One of these was a video game where you the player become a celebrity stylist.  I can't divulge too much of the idea at this stage but in simple terms, imagine having access to the best fashion from around the world and being able to pick and choose which celebrities you'd like to dress for lets say, the Oscars.

I wasn't sure how I was going to get the idea off the ground but when I met up with Slash last week in Vegas it all became clear.  Slash is the hero of the smash hit video game Guitar Hero and the perfect guy for this kind of venture.  I had a great time in Vegas partying with Slash and the crew from Jane's Addiction... It's safe to say the idea is going to ROCK!
