I'm a llama!

« on: October 17, 2008, 05:21:05 AM »

Ok let me be upfront and honest when I say this...I am a Huge Gn'r fan. I knew the words to Appetite walking into my kindergarten class. I specifically remember my older respectful cousin handing me a cassette of their debut through the car window. I noticed the hidden linear notes in Appetite to the lyrics in "You Could Be Mine" in '91. Like I said BIG fan.

I am 24 yrs old right now. And like many internet creepers, I roam this forum. I have kept up to date with every news update that has dealt with this band. And now I have ended up defending this band time and fuckin' time again. I love this band and never in my life do I want to stand by a band that my friends think are "over with" or "oh...this doesn't sound like GnR and when I mean GnR I mean "take me down to the paradise...". But sometimes you have to realize that "I don't worry about nothin' no, cuz worryin' is a waste of my fuckin' time!"

I am pumped for this album. No matter the number of  times I have been nervous about this album succeeding and proving my friends wrong, I always go back to a common theme:
Good music will always find its way.

Axl is ready to raise another generation of genuine rockers. The kind that listen to Lou Reed, but also know that the Deftones "Around the Fur" is their best effort, or that Van Halen should of ended in 1984. No matter what, it's the shit that makes you get goosebumps on your foreskin.

Now I can't wait for these upcoming weeks. This forum is going to blow up. The internet is going to blow up. The media as a whole will blow up. I am looking forward to the tricks that GNR MGMT are going to pull. The "Holy Grail" is about to be revealed. It is all going to be a "Who Rush" to the front of the stage.

While I am doing what is now a flesh-hearted confession, I would like to thank Jarmo for keeping this forum as pretty much the REAL DEAL. (OK I will admit that I check mygnr.com and newgnr.com just b/c I want to believe in crazy rumors). Whatever gets you through the night.

I just want people to enjoy the ride from here on out. It's coming. It HAS to now. There is no need to be bitchin about anything. If so, you must still be drinking your cranberry juice.

We are soooo close. But remember when they were the MOST IMPORTANT band in the world. Yeah there was a time...do  you want to know it all....?

I am sorry for being a lurker all this time, haze me, but honey you ain't the first.

Thanks,

Tyhler

P.S.

But can I finally say after seeing every stupid convo about this song.......
Song #2 IS, HAS TO BE, MUST BE, WHY ISN'T IT?, ALL THE LYRICS POINT TOWARDS IT BEING "PROSTITUTE", SHOULD BE PROSTITUTE. "....its fire and ice"
Don't believe me? Try this....listen to the song! Listen to the lyrics! What is he saying?!
The outro sounds like an outro for a CD?! Just maybe?!
Any forum member who disagrees must be in serious denial, or will tool me for being this outspoken for a first timer. You got me.

I agree that it's a perfect closer for an album, but Blueheart over at CD.com has stated she hs heard the although the tracklist is legit, it will not necessarily be in the order posted on BestBuy.

Let's just hope Prostitute (which happens to be my favourite gnr track of all time) remains the last song.

Bring the album on!

first of all, what the hell are you guys talking about in regards to #2 being prostitute?  Song #2 on the first tracklisting i saw was "scraped" and prostitute was the last song.

And secondly, when did you guys ever hear that song?  At least describe it for me!

What reason is there to believe it's prostitute?

Oh let's not start that whole thing over again!  We'll see for sure when Axl's released his statement and the track list is confirmed.

Okay, thanks. Only listened to the song a couple times, and hadn't noticed him saying prostitute before. I guess that about seals it.
