I.R.S. - only heard it live once in 2006! Lovely

Love the song.  One of my favorites on the album.

But given the lyrical content, I'm thinking its the second longest shot after 'Sorry', for the same reason.

I actually liked the more agressive raw guitar in the verse in the demo more.

It's still a good song for sure. The demo sounds like the way it should, the finished it kinda too refined.

Maybe that is because they had to re-re-record things?

AFD was pretty much 2-3 takes and see ya. That is why it is so special sounding I think.

It's really interesting what Slash could bringt into those songs. I am listening to ChiDem and I have his guitar playing style in mind.

I could never decide if it was about her or the band break-up.

'Sorry' is obviously the unquestioned song about that.  But the more I listened to 'I.R.S.', I wondered if that was too.

We do not know - and I personally do NOT care!
Great song - just play it!

I always though Sorry was about Slash...?

Like every word applies. Who knows.

So a while back I got the stems from when CD was released on Rock Band, and I re-recorded the guitar parts to most of the songs with more of a Slash tone and feel and it came out really good. I'm excited to hear him play on CD, Better, and hopefully something like SOD or Catcher as well.

Madagascar would be cool.

It was rumored to be one of the songs they've been rehearsing along with Chinese Democracy.

It could have been a wild guess too for all we know. They've done a good job keeping secrets these past months.  Smiley

I have the feeling that Madagascar is one of the more known songs of the album. What is your opinion?

I think Axl likes to sing the song, it's one of the first one's introduced in 2001. It's also the one they chose to do at the VMAs.

It would fit Slash as well.

I agree, if they play it i think they should give Richard the lead, and give Slash his spot on the Martin Luther King part.
Could be killer.

Yes! I would love to hear Slash do that solo during the MLK parts.

Yeah, Slash could play the guitar parts from Robin and Richard could play the guitar parts from Buckethead.
