i feel bad becuase i missed adlers appetite when they came to little rock. but since his stroke, has it affected his drumming at all b/c i know yall said it affected his speech, just wondering if he plays different because of it.

from what Ive heard of his drumming in this past year, I'll say that he's better than he used to be, so to answer your question, no it hasn't affected his drumming! ok

Yeah from the various live mp3's and videos i've got his drumming seems to be better than ever.

Also, his speech is really improving.  On the recent phone interview he did with someone from this site, his speech sounded a lot better than it did on the radio interview he did a year or so ago.

Both Steven and Matt have got better with age. With Steven, however, considering what he's been through, that's an admirable feat.

When did he have his stroke?

I think Steven's stroke occurred sometime in 1994-95.  He was the subject of a 1995 episode of the TV show "Hard Copy" and they talked about it on there.

I guess it took him quite some time to get 'clean'

Poor bastard, getting a stroke is always a tragedy - but to have got one from something as stupid as drugs, its a real shame.

Well its good to hear his speach is improving and i hope he keeps on getting better
