Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

I dunno, but the song sounds messed up in the reharsal, not that good. Beck is an awesome player, but I guess he didn't know the song right. Also, Slash plays almost as he was playing the regular lead guitar part, wich didn't fit too good with Beck's playing.
So, IMO, it didn't sounds cool for everybody and Beck made an excuse (or maybe Axl)...   confused

Are you on about that Paris 92 mtv report that shows them rehearsing?

You can't tell from that how the song would sound. Besides which, I'm sure Slash and Jeff Beck know how to make a song work and sound good.

I hope you're joking about the idea that Axl asked Jeff Beck to drop out because the song sounded shit. That's just beyond ludicrous.

Beck's reason for dropping out was tinnitus...
ringing in the ears...I believe he blamed it on the amp volume during the rehearsals pre-show, saying he was afraid of suffering permanent hearing damage beyond what he already has.

Ok, I didn't mean that Axl asked Beck to drop out. Anyways, it's just speculation, no big deal.
About how the song "would" sound, I have the mp3 of the song with Beck in the rehearsal, I didn't saw this mtv report stuff. Of course Slash and Beck knows how to make a song work, but without rehearsal it can be a hard job to do, don't you think?
I said this because I heard the song and it didn't sounds too good for me, it could be a lot better IMO.  ok
