Craig Kilborn Show
August 18th...should be cool.

Im pissed because he was supposed to be playing here in NJ next week and it got cancelled. Mysteron was right the, Figgs are playing there instead. I called the owner of the place last wee and he said no Tommy was playing but ticketmaster just called me and told me its now the Figgs. This blows. I was so pumped. I cant stop listening to the album and I wanted to see him Live. O well....

Axl4Prez is a huge Minnesota Vikings fan...can I be an honorary Minnesotan???
On this note, you've gotta think Axl (a big football fan) just might put something together for a Monday Night Football intro.Huh  Aerosmith, Brittney, Nelly, etc. were on last year...I think it would rock and also be incredible exposure.  Monday Night, Nov. 29 is my prediction.  Rams-Packers.  Why???  Because 2 old-timers, Brett Favre and Marshall Faulk will be highlighted...so let's make it 3 old-timers that still got it by throwing Axl into the mix!!!

PS sorry to get off-track there, I'll be watching Tommy that night too.     beer

Favre... beer

Awesome to see what he did to Axl's Raiders last year.  However, I think Axl may have disowned them after last year.

Anyways, yes that would be great.? But I think Axl may think it would be cheezy.

Thanks for the info Youngunner....Unfortunately, Kilborn's show is about as entertaining as watching paint peel, so it'll be nice to have incentive to watch.  Always loved him on the Daily Show, it's a shame.  This week, ESPN is having all of their previous Sportscenter anchors return for what they are dubbing "old school week."  Kilborn will be on the 8th with Dan Patrick...Let's hope it hits Kilborn in the head like a ten ton hammer that Sportscenter is his natural habitat....

This news is somewhat relevant to this thread:

Kilborn Calls It Quits at 'Late Late Show'
Fri Aug 13, 2:01 PM ET

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Craig Kilborn has decided to quit CBS' "Late Late Show" after five seasons, leaving the network to find a new host for the hour that follows "Late Show with David Letterman."

"It was easily the greatest job I've had, and CBS was very generous in their offer to re-sign me," Kilborn told Daily Variety. "But I simply want to try something new. I can now focus on writing and producing different television projects I haven't had time for."

Not one to pass up a gag, Kilborn added: "And this is cool: I will continue to wear makeup in my everyday life."

Kilborn had drawn solid ratings for CBS since he took the time slot over from Tom Snyder. Since 1999, the audience had grown 34 percent to this season's average of 1.7 million viewers.

He likely will wrap up his tenure by within a month, according to a source close to the production, Variety reported Friday. The program is produced by Letterman's company, Worldwide Pants.

Wow, that's surprising about Kilby. Not exactly a big personal disappointment, but it's surprising that he would leave such a sweet job. I can't image all the drool in hollywood as people line up to get that show.

Hopefully I can remember to tape the Tommy episode. I'm sure Kilborn will try hard to pry something about GNR and/or Axl out of him.

Pretty decent..........he did something called What's your Motivation..........crowd was small but you could see a few people getting down to it.? The drummer has the scariest sideburns I've ever seen.
Tommy sounded a little like Iggy Pop.  No interview, just the song.

Just watched it. Pretty high energy song. Tommy has a nice voice...Exceeded my expectations. His voice and look remind me a little of Weiland, except Tommy played guitar on the song.

Definetly high energy stuff, and he went into the shriek on the last verse of 'Motivation', which was cool. Lucky bastards, those of you who get to his solo shows. Oh well, hopefully we'll be hearing more of him with gNr soon!

He played "motivation" which is the best rocker off the album. The backing band was ok but Tommy was really good. He had great energy and awesome punk vibe.

I wish his show didnt get cancelled last week. It would have rocked. O well. Just have to stick with the album for now....

well i went to the taping and it was anything but far from the audience.  They had a lot of energy and everyone in the crowd was really into it.  They taped him before anything else on the show.  Then he left.  There was no chance to talk to him but it was cool that Craig Kilborn said Guns n Roses.

it also sucks that kilborn is leaving... he's much better than that piece of shit connan obrien.
I hope the new host is good.

I thought the performance was awesome! I got a chance to see Tommy last August on that little tour he did with the Figs. It was a great show, but I wish the record would have been out so I could have recognized some of the songs b/c I love Villiage Gorilla Head.

I thought the performance was great.

The song translates very well to a live setting, much better than the album version IMO.

Tommy's got a cool vibe to him, always has.
