they (GN'R) mentioned that it was a complete joke and the song was writen "out of complete joke, kinda a fantasy"

its a joke.. on the live era album axl says something like it being written as a joke and its about how you love someone but sometimes you wanna just cut off their head and bury it in the backyard..
