It's better to burn out than to fade away...

« on: April 28, 2005, 12:55:56 AM »

There have been conflicting reports about whether or not Pierce Brosnan is gonna be back for the next James Bond movie.  I really hope he returns, because Brosnan is personally my favourite actor to play James Bond.  He's got the look, the voice, the charisma.  And I just like the movies themselves so much more, because they're real modern blockbusters.

Which of the actors to play James Bond was your favourite?  For the record, they are:
- Sean Connery
- George Lazenby
- Roger Moore
- Timothy Dalton
- Pierce Brosnan

I'll have to go with Sean Connery.

I think he did 007 the best justice. And my brother is also named after him.  Tongue

Connery was originally the best, but I think Brosnan surpassed him.  Connery had the charisma, but I always thought that Pierce Brosnan looked and sounded a lot more like "James Bond".

I like Roger Moore the most. Probably bacause Octopussy was the first Bond i saw.

My fave Bond movies are Live and Let Die, Moonraker and Octopussy, all played by Moore.

Although his movies seem dated watching them now, Sean Connery is my favorite followed by

Pierce Brosnon
Roger Moore
George Lazenby
Timothy Dalton

I thought Dalton was horrible, I completely stopped watching James Bond films until the second one with Brosnon.

Roger Moore. 1st Bond movie I saw was "For your eyes only" when I was a kid.

He was quite the ladies man and its fun to watch due to the prevailing macho attitudes of the 1970`s.

sean connery for sure. connery's movies were a little slower paced prolly cause of the time. moore was weird cause he looks so much different then connery (the red hair and all). brosnan has been good but was anyone else a little annoyed at all the lame cheesy jokes james bond made in the latest bond movie? (the one with halle berry).

I personally thought Roger Moore was a lousy James Bond. He didn't have enough charisma as Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan did.

I vote Sean Connery but also id like might to add if someone told me that there was a famous secret agent from London and they showed me the photos of 5 people ie: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan i'd say Pierce Brosnan looked like he fit the part of of a sauve sofisticated secret agent more than any of the others.
