Went to the Gilby Clarke show last night-Duff and and a very drunk Slash showed up to play-they were great-Dead Flowers, KOHD, It's so easy, Helter Skelter-Slash was awsome-they almost couldn't get him to stop his solos. Matt Sorum was in the club, Gilby kept trying to call him out, but to no avail. A nice treat for $10..lol Velvet Revolover are playing today (5/17).

That would have been great! Slash having a bit too much to drink could explain the recent review of the Atlanta show I was reading!

Thanks for the news Eric. It's funny this happened b/c somebody had mentioned early that Gibly was playing in Cleveland as the same time as VR would and maybe just maybe they would hook up. Too bad Matt didn't join in.

You're pretty lucky to have seen that.  How many people were there for the show?

Books are useless! I only ever read one book, ?To Kill A Mockingbird,? and it gave me absolutely no insight on how to kill mockingbirds.

Wonder why.....

Shame Gilby isn't in VR....

There were probably a couple hunderd people, I think-I've seen Gilby 6 or 7 times and was surprised by the turnout-I've been to shows of his where there have not been many people at all-Peabody's is a popular club-he started to yell for Slash and Duff to come out, and I think people thought he was kidding. If only matt would have come out for KOHD it would have been the first reunion of the Illusion lineup since '93 minus AXL, of course. I was surprised at how many young people were there-I'm 32-many people in their early 20's.

That's strange for Matt not to get up and join in isn't it?

Would be great to see something unexpected like that.  It could be on the cards for Ozzfest in the uk - maybe?

You know Gilby is the only gunner to have played with Axl, Slash, Duff and Steve Alder in the past few years. I also know that Dizzy has played with the Star Fuckers but I'm too sure if Gilby was there or not.
