Phil Anselmo would be a deserving 90's frontman. Pantera was a hell of a lot of fun back then, before Phil turned into a junkie and Dimebag was murdered.

Out of this list, no one can even touch Steven Tyler as a frontman
no one on this list is even close in my opinion
as powerful as Chris Cornell's voice is, Steven's is even more powerful
as great some of these guys are live, Id have a hard time believing they are better than Steven Tyler
Axl is the only frontman who could come close to Tyler and Id have a hard time voting Axl over Steven.
so whats this thing based on then? vocal abilities, stage presence? what?
NIB: It's a survivor challenge... it's based on who (by the majority of the votes cast) is the most popular.

Yeah, I'd definitely take Phil Anselmo over Trent Reznor.

I think that Plant and Freddie was much better, but it's only a vote.
I agree man.
now, what I would like to know is, how did Trent win the 90s frontman thing??
there were A LOT of better frontmen than him in the 90s!
and even if I he wouldn't have been my pick from the 70s, I think Steven is the best of of the 3 people in the ultimate frontman thing.
but once we get an 80s frontman thread, Axl will win that and the ultimate frontman award.
who are we kidding, this is a GN'R board, right?

Already done the 80s
Bruce Dickinson
won,
Trent
won the 90s not because he was the best but because he was one of those talented guys everyone respects, alot of people on the list you either loved or hated which meant votes were split and they had no chance of winning, if it had been vote for your favourite he would never of won.

ah ok, I didn't see any mention of 80s frontman winner, so I just assumed.
I take it Axl wasn't an option since he didn't win?

Mr. Anthony Kiedis and Mr. Gallagher are both more famous than Trent, why didn't they win?
Izzy?

Liam was voted off early and Kiedis took part in the 00's survivor.
This has been said many, many times...I'll just go ahead and say it once again. This survivor is not about who's the most famous frontman, otherwise we would've gotten
Fred Durst, Kurt Cobain, Bono, Freddy Mercury
as the previous round winners, it's about voting off your least
favorite
and not the least
famous
. Everybody here have their own opinions about what assests should any frontman own to be consider a good frontman. We are talking about charisma, stage presence, vocals, leading skills, song writing abilities...the list goes on an on.
So, to answer your question, the two frontman didn't win because people voted them off based on the
personal
preferences.
One last thing, if you'd like to add any more comments about this subject, please use the nominations / discussions thread so we don't spam the board with more than 2 survivor threads.
