Michael Cole posted a homophobic slur Saturday afternoon on his recently launched Twitter account as he called fellow WWE announcer Josh Mathews a 'faggot'. The tweet was in response to Mathews writing "Chicago!", the host city of this Monday's RAW taping. The one word message was deleted approximately half an hour later and an apology was issued.

Sting:
?I wouldn?t say it was utter nonsense, that?s not true! It?s a dream match that fans would want to see. It was close. I?m glad things turned out the way they did. There are so many variables. Let?s just say that I turned it down for the same reasons I always have. Some- thing in me never trusted what would happen up there, based entirely on the track record with other WCW guys and everything that went on after Vince bought WCW. I wont be watching but I?ll be asking what happened between Undertaker and Triple H."

Maybe Ric Flair spent that money he needed to borrow from those TNA Road Agents for this...

I found out that a nearby Hooter's was going to be showing WM, so a couple of buddies and I went and watched it there. Overall, I thought the PPV was very, very average.

Taker/HHH stole the show. Orton/CM Punk and Cody Rhodes/Mysterio put on good matches.

I think it cheapens the World Heavyweight Championship to have it open the show. Del Rio's huge push seems for naught since they killed off all of his momentum.

I'm glad Miz retained, because I was worried he wouldn't. The match itself needed to be at least 10 minutes longer, though. The crowd was dead, just waiting for The Rock to get involved. The ending seemed awkward and lacked any sort of oomph.

Rock/Cena has already been announced as next year's Wrestlemania main event. Maybe Cena will turn heel at some point between now and then.

WWE d ropped the ball on main event. Should've had the Rock on guest commentary. that way he is ringside and u never know when he will get involved.

Main event u could never buy it, cause u knew it wasn't ending till Rock made an appearance. thats why the crowd was so dead, cause its hard to get lost in a match when u know it isn't ending till Rock makes an appearance. With Rock on commentary, he is ringside thus heightening the suspense.

Totally, they mishandled that whole main event.  Rock should have been at ringside or at least a guest ref.  They also need to combine the world titles and the IC and US title, to make them actually mean something again.

the one thing i hated about the Del Rio vs Edge match was one simple thing really....have you ever....EVER seen a royal rumble winner....curtain jerk wrestlemania for his world championship match??? just....ugh!

meanwhile, if money continues for me, i would probably be going to wrestlemania next year. a small part of me hopes since its in miami that Scott Hall goes into the hall of fame...he lives in orlando so it might be possible for him to go next year. i understand why he didnt go this year since he just got out of rehab and he didnt want to be tempted to party it up....but hopefully next year he will go and be inducted.

Unifying the titles only makes sense if they end the brand extenstion too. I could see them having maybe one WWE Champion who competes on both brands (they did that briefly with the Undisputed Title) but the IC and US titles give the midcard guys on each show something to compete for. I don't think having two of them devalues them really.

About Scott Hall...

http://rajah.com/base/node/22485

Former WWE talent Scott Hall has been hospitalized following a drug overdose, reports WrestlingNewsWorld.com. No further details are available at this time.

The former Intercontinental Champion has been battling serious health issues over the past year. He was hospitalized last June for double pneumonia, which had affected both lungs. He was hospitalized again in August due to complications from pneumonia. After recovering, Hall checked into a WWE-sponsored rehabilitation facility, and checked out in early October. Hall was hospitalized weeks later as he needed a pacemaker implanted into his heart.

Hall announced last week he would not be on hand for the WrestleMania XXVII festivities in Atlanta, Georgia because the atmosphere would be detrimental to his quest to stay sober.

He posted his last Twitter message Sunday night while watching WrestleMania XXVII, writing "Taker wins!"

One of my favorites of all time, nWo was huge when I started watching.

I agree that they should unify the two titles again.  yes

That kind of what started the dimise for me around 2003, when the brand defection took place. I think it takes away from each Championship to have 2 in the company for each show.

I always thought that the current Champion could easily go between the two shows, even if it meant not appearing on 1 of them, every other week.  Tongue
