its a good album. catchy summer rock album.

The only thing this album is missing though, is something i love about Def Leppard which they stopped producing since retro active. Unmistakably catchy riffs.

But this albums brought a return to the big catchy chorus's.

One other dissappoint is, Def Leppard always had alot of great palm muted harmonies over riffs in alot of there songs...they only really have that in the Nine Lives song, which is a shame.

But other than  that its a good album and ill definately be playing this quite a number of times im sure. Cant wait to see them live in July with Whitesnake!

-edit-
Already finding myself wanting to listen to there earlier stuff more though.

I think C'mon C'mon is ridiculously catchy, although I didn't actually like it the first time I heard it. It is just written to be played live. Go, Bad Actress, Come Undone, Only the Good Die Young, are favourites too. Cruise Control is good but no Paper Sun, and I am still a bit undecided about Hallucinate. Something just seems not quite right chorus wise, but it really needs a few more listens.

Just so good to have the guitars back after Euphoria (was had some great individual songs) and X.

Had a great time at the mini concert yesterday.

I got home just in time to see myself rocking out in the front row during Nine Lives.

I was a bit worried about my safety and my buds' safety.  We were the only young people there, and all these cougars came up to us and said they were gonna "jump our bones" and they all started giggling.  nervous

Yeah I love the direction they are going in.

Nice classic Def Leppard songs.

I wish we could of had more tracks... Wait 6 years for a new studio album and all we get is 11 tracks?

I mean it's a good cd, but nothing that blew me away.

"Love", "Go" and "Cruise Control" are the best songs. "Nine Lives" isn't too bad.

This is rollingstone's review of the album they gave it 2.5/5 stars....

That seems about right, I would of gave it a 3 start at least...

In the nineties, when producer Robert ?Mutt? Lange disappeared into Switzerland with Shania Twain and dump trucks full of cash, he left Def Leppard stranded. Lange produced and co-wrote their best-selling release Hysteria, and the band tries hard to re-create that album?s magic on Songs From the Sparkle Lounge. ?Go,? the opener, has the group?s signature layered vocals, crunching guitars and Seventies glam-rock vibe. But when the fivesome team up with Tim McGraw in a desperate country-crossover attempt on ?Nine Lives,? the results aren?t pretty. From there, the band?s on cruise control ? especially on the politically tinged ?Cruise Control? and the Kansas-style power ballad ?Love? ? with songs that feel like inferior versions of hits two decades past. Def Leppard show signs of life on the headbanging ?Bad Actress,? which takes on the Lindsay Lohans of the world, but it?s clear they?re missing their old producer. We await their 2010 Timbaland-aided comeback

I guess that's not a horrible review, but it's far from glowing.  I haven't bought the album YET, but I disagree with the reviewer about "Nine Lives".  I think that song is really good, and it's far from a country crossover.  Did they actually listen to the song, or just see that Tim McGraw was involved?

From what I've heard of the other tracks, it sounds like it should be a worthy purchase.  Besides Rolling Stone isn't exactly what it used to be, so I don't put much stock in their opinions.

Yeah this cd is worth a buy man...

They probably just heard that "Nine Lives" has McGraw in it and deemed it a country joke... it's not I like it.

Like I said, this cd sounds like Pyromania and Adrenalize mixed up.... it's not as good as those cds but it is in the vein of them...

You will love "Go", "Love", and "Cruise Control" <---- my fav!

They shouldn't refer to them so much, you're right, but Hysteria is one of the best albums ever...
