The last news was a a few months ago and basically said that they where gonna write and work on some more songs. And Steven asked Izzy to write with him and Sheldon, he was gonna give it a shot according to the news but there's no news if it did happen. Would be cool though..

I say we take "Adlers Appetite" and "VR" we combine them, and weed out the non-original GNR members, except Scott ( need a singer), for Scott, we need to brainwash him, make him forget about Grunge, and embrace the old school rock n roll, he can do it, He did great on the B-sides/covers from "contraband. We make a Scott Weidland that can do this on the new songs.

He was not there in the beginning,
not really into keyboards
but for the old time piano on some of the UYI tracks , i'll take him,

 but no background singers,
 or second keyboardist
or third guitarist,
it worked best as a 5 piece

Is Adler just drumming, or is he writing songs as well?

As far as I know he helped writing those songs when they jammed, but he only wrote the drum arrangements.
