Richard (who lives in NY) can do it through amplitube and then can send his parts to Axl (I suppose)
I'm using Amplitube now and I can understand how easy is to record good guitars for raw demos and stuff like that, but do you really think Richard would just record some stuff in that way to put in one of the most polished albuns on earth?
:no:Not for the real takes but it seems very handy to exchange musical ideas from a distance. yes

He accidentally got locked in the vault that contains Chinese Democracy. Hopefully, Axl notices his absence, because he will run out of air 'soon'.

why does everyone hate the bucket!? listen to that solo in IRS and tell me Robin could pull that off during a concert...

Its possible.. but.. hmm.. well Im sure Uncle Axl and Co. have figured out how to work with out Bucket.. but.. he was freakin awesome.. and im sure his contributions on the album will be "off da hook."

You guys are just looking at his image..

The fans opinion of Robin's playing will go up after the release. He will be playing his music, rather than someone else's  ok

Maybe I am. BH's image is unbeatable.
the IRS demo is a good example of merits of having two distinctive leads.

Angry Don't say everyone, cos it's wrong.

I hope so. I would be the 1st supporter of robin if I like his guitar contribution to the record. But the record needs to come out.

personally, when I saw Robin live in TO with GNR, his whole persona was pretty awesome. I digged his crab spider dance strut thing while playing guitar.

Hes got his own style and its pretty rocking.

nesquick just hates buckethead because he doesnt look or sound 'cool and bluesy', and he will hate the fact that his parts will remain on CD, well I have bad news for you, buckethead parts are most likely staying which means you wont like CD as much  Wink

I don't know if I "hate" buckethead. I just feel nothing when he plays guitar. it's like hearing a robot and watching a muppet show. I want this band to have success, i want them to succeed, not to fail. BH was a factor of failure for me in 2002. I just don't want it to happen again.

You said it all. It was a failure to you. A LOT of people don't think so - and I guess Axl too.

i think buckethead is a great guitarist and i really enjoy some of his albums (mainly "colma" and "population override").  having said that, i also think that he was a poor choice for guns n' roses.  he could really nail those solos, but his weirdness and style of playing just seemed more fitting for his other projects.  i also think that three guitarists was completely unnecessary.  i think the current line-up is perfect, and i hope the band stays as it is.  richard fortus and robin finck are both amazing talents, and i'm ready to hear their own creative work if and when "chinese democracy" is released.
