I have left out some details from the email that do need confirming first but here is an update from Izzy:

".......i`d like to send ya a cd rom of the artwork for "like a dog" to put on your site and to share with fans.i have an old friend in indiana with a box of 975 original promo copies without artwork ready to ship now.song titles are 1bomb 2hammerhead 3snafu 4hell song 5rollin on 6just dont know 7chop away 8win u loose 9on the run 10like a dog.............cheers,izzy "

In a second email Izzy had attached the artwork for LAD:

Subject: 'New York Dolls/will....... izzy again, heres pic from cd'



Looks like our little petition might have just worked afterall  Grin Will keep you posted about how to get hold of the CD, Im confirming it now

According to posting on the Izzy Stradlin (ex-Guns N' Roses guitarist) fan site izzy.34sp.com, Stradlin is currently making available 975 original promo copies (without artwork) of his unreleased solo album "Like A Dog".

"Like A Dog" was recorded and mastered at Nomad Recording Studios in Carrollton, Texas during May 2003. Ordering information for the album will be made available shortly.

Maybe the petition did help.? Yet, do you think it's partly "timing" with Izzy, as well?? The whole commotion about VR is at a lull right now, with their tour being done.? He could have released it earlier, but it would have come out about the time of Contraband and GnR Greatest Hits.? I don't think he wants to take any chances that it would ever become a huge album.? I'm not being negative about him.? I have a lot of respect for him, but I can definitely see in him that he plays and records music because it's his life and that he doesn't want the insanity that fame can bring.? I think he wants to release a CD for his own fans to appreciate and not take the chance that it would be more than that because he doesn't want it to be that way. ? ?And that's ok - nothing wrong with that.? ?

Very good news. I hope it is not going to be too hard to get a copy. 975 promos is not very many. Looks like we all will be fighting for them. Wink That is cool of Izzy to make them available. Not too many people would do that with such a limited quantity.
