the only thing i think would be considered close to a decent idea would be to release another live album but from 2002 with the current line up, add a few new tracks like better, irs and twat, but id release that the same day of CD not before.

If they do this, assuming Chinese Democracy is finished, it's nothing more than the record label trying to get some more free money off the GnR name before the new album comes out.  Releasing GH2, even if it doesn't sell as well as the other one, it's still a surefire profit maker because it costs almost nothing to release the album.  No recording sessions, no videos, little promotion, it's cheap and will still sell at least a few million copies worldwide.  Releasing Chinese Democracy will be more expensive, videos, promotion, and then there's all the money they spent recording it
