Here Today...

Take it for whats it worth...

Yesterday my friend's band was rehersing next to GNR at Centerstage Studios in the valley.  He said that it was "crazy" listening to them.  He said that it ws just the band...Axl was not there.   He didn't see any of them and only heard them for about 30 minutes.  He said that they heard them play "Its So Easy", "Brownstone", and even "ESTRANGED".   The guy at the studios told him that Buckethead has been playing with them, and that Bucket even wears the bucket on his head as he pulls up in his car. 
Anyways,  like I said...take it for what its worth.  I know this guy isn't full of shit, and wouldn't make that kind of stuff up...irrelevent in his eyes.

Yeah, the part that makes that story hard to believe is the Buckethead part.  I don't believe he will ever be associated with Guns N' Roses again.

Bullshit.... at least with respect to the Buckethead part. Let's see... last week alone Buckethead was in Minneapolis, MN, Boulder, CO, Fort Collins, CO and Aspen, CO. And I know for a fact (b/c I saw his show in Nashville, TN) that he's been on the road the last 2 months or so.

Maybe Slash is driving to the studio with a bucket and mask on his head to throw people off. hihi

Don't even tell me the new band is practicing "Estranged"... drool drool drool

No way they're going anywhere near "Estranged"... UNLESS Slash is back.

Yeah...I hear ya...it was hard for me to believe as well. ?In fact, I am hoping that Bucket isn't still in the band...I think that his image doesn't cut it. ?Hopefully, my buddy got some bunk info regarding Bucket; however, I would put my savings on the fact that he indeed hear them reherse.

Well, Dizzy did have the music and lyrics to Don't Cry with him at his last Hookers & Blow show. ?They played GNR music that they never have played before. ?I've seen them a few times, so know the songs they normally play. ?He was also worryed about singing "Used to Love Her" right, so had the lyric sheets out for that one too.

He was jamming on the GNR songs too, making me think that they have been doing that kind of thing in rehersals. ?Just my thoughts though.

We've had this thread before... but I honestly don't think we're going to get much off of UYI unless Slash is back. I think Axl is very aware that the public (and critics) love the AFD material. Probably November Rain, You Could Be Mine, KOHD and LALD. I'd love to see them add Civil War too... that's such a great song- and is much more poignant now- given the state of the world- than it was even in 90-91 (during the Gulf War and Yugoslavia).
