My Fave Album is CTE
My fave song is Hook In mouth, also it was my first megadeth song that I've ever heard I was 9? Grin
Let's just clear one thing up - Megadeth's out and out metal is better than Metallica peace
And Dave is a millions times better than Kirk Hammett peace

Amen? ok

I find it quite sad that some people feel the need to constantly compare such good bands and run down the one they don't like.

Don't feel sorry for Metallica - they made themselves shit - and Metallica, good? I was a child when that was even vaguely true - its been 14 years.

I agree Izzy, it has been a while since they did something really good (S&M aside, but that was live and based mainly on older songs. so...) I didn't mind the black album, I think it's pretty good still (I never listened to them before that though) but Load, Re-Load (really stupid name BTW) and St. Anger are mediocre at best.

"Where's your Crown" Metallica? If you wanna know look over there on Dave Mustaine's head hihi

Would anybody else here tend to agree that Cryptic Writings is a fine piece of work?  Quality throughout, underrated Megadeth album.

17 years, not 14. ...And Justice For All came out in 1988.

If you go by the Black Album it would be 14 years.

Yes  Angry

I'd put Master of Puppets and Black on a par - but and justice for all is for me a truly dire album

A new mix could save it - add in a bass line, alter the guitar tone, deal with the drum sound- and u might have a good album

As it is it sounds like an album of the same song

The production/mix on aJFA - how many times has that been discussed on here?!  drool

Does anyone think the Dave machine will bring Megadeth out for any more tours/albums or do you think it's all over after this one?

I got Tickets to MEGADETH today ok? It'll be my first time seeing them live. I'm about 100ft (30m) away or so on the right side of the stage. Thanks for the Set list dustNroses looks like its pretty "System" heavy but that's alright, it's a good album.  it should be a pretty cool show, I can't wait.

They are gonna be playing with Dream Theater, Fear Factory and Nevermore. Anyone heard of these bands? are they good?

I've heard Fear Factory before they are alright and I've heard of Dream Theater but have never listened to them before. I have no fucking clue who Nevermore is.

Dream Theater is amazing live! As a group, they are probably the most skilled collection of rock musicians ever assembled. Machines wouldn't be able to play more accurately. They have some songs that are a bit mellow, but they are fast and heavy most of the time and when they rock, they rock!

Their new album Octavarium kicks ass. They are certainly not for everyone though. The title track is 24 minutes long, so that probably turns off some people with short attention spans. 6 Degrees of Inner Turbulence was a double album and the second disk was all just one 42 minute song. Definitely not radio friendly pop music. Very grandiose.
