Nah, Megadeth is one of my favorite bands and the only band I listen to when I'm ticked off.     So one more to the collection won't hurt it'll just give me more to listen to when I'm in one of my moods.   ok

not immedietly blown away...

...but some of the guitar work is straight from RIP, - the exit solo on Burnt Ice sounds like its lifted from Holy Wars - great to hear shredding back in Megadeth, lets face it since RIP it hasnt really featured.

This is one album that needs to grow on you. Although I love Sleepwalker and United Abominations.

I like it alot. I think Washington is Next is one of the better songs Dave has ever written and I have been listening to Megadeth for a long time. The Album has a few weak spots. Not a classic by any means but an improvement on "The System Has Failed" which was a return to form after a couple albums of drivel. Def Dave's best output since Cryptic Writings in my mind.

Sleepwalker is my favorite song of the album, from what i've listened to. I downloaded the album a couple weeks ago, but I'm gonna pick it up this weekend and listen to the whole thing.

Best song from this album IMHO is the bonus track black swan, what an awesome song, probably could have been a hit single for the band.

but no! I'll be picking this baby up ASAP!

I've been listening to this album for some days now, and I think I like a little bit more The System Has Failed, cause there are more good songs, in this album I like Sleep walker, , washington is next, united abominations, never walk alone and play for blood... and obvously a tout le monde... and a little bit Blessed are the Dead.... Those songsa have got really great riffs and lyrics.....  But I feel it's not as good as TSHF...

I just bought the new album a few days ago, it's pretty killer. Far better than their last effort.

I"m not much into this band or heavy metal or anything but, I've been wanting to get their greatest hits just to check them out and see what's up.

I like a couple of songs, but I don't know much about them really. Does their greatest hits package captivate them? Some GH packages don't really show the band's true greatness if you know what I mean.

Pretty much, but I'd also recommend you get the full albums:

Rust in Peace
Countdown to Extinction
Cryptic Writings (for softer stuff, more like hard rock)

Then get the last 2:
The System Has failed
United Abominations

ignore this man!

Cryptic Writings will frighten u away from Megadeth for atleast a decade.

Wait untill u r obsessed with the band before approaching Cryptic, Risk or The World needs a hero - and at all times have u finger on or near the off switch

 hihi hihi hihi

hey man, dont be so hard on CW... also you didn't approve my other suggestions, quite mean, I might say.... it looks like my whole post was useless.

hehehe anyway, yeah, CW might be quite soft, but it's ok, has some good riffs and solos

definitively stay away from Risk and The World Needs A Hero.
