Actually, there's 2 songs that can be rescued from each album

Risk: Prince of darkness and Time: The Beginning and the End
TWNAH: Dread and the Fugitive mind and Return to Hangar.

 peace

But the rest is quite boringn (TWNAH) and poppy (Risk)

Maybe Jimmy De Grasso listens to them, cause it's the two disks where he plays (drums)   hihi hihi

saw Megadeth yesterday at the Astoria

...i've been to more than my share of gigs but Megadeth crowds are just...different

Rarely have so many skinheads been in the same room without atleast one swastika - the crowd was mad, hurling itself all over the place

The whole venue had clearly been oversold, and there were maybe 200 more people than the venue could physically take!

Megadeth however were superb, and it was quite worrying how close the songs sounded to the studio tracks - so close infact one did wonder at times if there was a backing track in use (they did after all start the set with one!) I saw them a while back and the sound was terrible, whole songs passed without me being able to work out what they were playing - this time the sound was excellent and they'd really got the levels sorted

Dave seemed to play well over 75% of the solos, though on the albums its vice versa - for a man doctors said would never play guitar again he's really quite something!

We didnt get an encore or 'a toute le monde' a rather strange decision as its the current single and Dave's fav song...

Sleepwalker
Take No Prisoners
Skin 'O My Teeth
Wake Up Dead
Set The World Afire
Washington Is Next
Hangar 18
Darkest Hour
Kick The Chair
Gears of War
She Wolf
Tornado
Mechanix
Peace Sells
Symphony of Destruction
Holy Wars

Oh yeah i forgot to add i also got one of the drumsticks as well, my friend is now in possession of it, although they spent most the night dropping it, due to failed attempts at spinning it in thier fingers. Just wish i could catch one at a Guns N Roses gig.

I started off towards the right hand side but after heading to the bar didnt have the sheer muscle power to fight my way through the crowds again - where there really should have been space at the back, there was none. People were packed in like sardinnes even at the bar itself! They seemed less than thorough with the ticketing - my mates tkt never arrived, so they gave him one at the door! My tkt could have been anything yellow - they never even looked at it, it could have been for a previous gig!

Yeah, the Astoria is a funny place... But then they wouldn't let me in with my bullet belt, I had to leave it at the box office. What did they think I was gonna do with it?? Huh

I don't really like "heavy metal" too much so what is this band's harder rock or softer songs?

I just don't like that crazy heavy crap... the heavy music is cool, but along with the heavy music is usually screaming and that turns me off completely...

Let me know whats up... guide me.

Megadeth are just like Metallica....except good....so, nothing like Metallica at all really

go youtube 'Holy wars' - the solo tires me out just hearing it, let alone playing it

I'm going to the London (Brixton) gig 24th Feb.  Anyone else?  Saw them at the Astoria last June, that was my first time.  Was in the pit all the way and it was great.

Thorned_Rose > if you're interested in an album get Countdown To Extinction to start with.  Then bear in mind anything before it is faster and heavier.  Anything after is either similar or possibly softer.  Don't start with United Abominations  Grin
