I'd start off with Think About You, because it's more punk sounding, and that BS is hot right now, and then I'd go more into the hard rock, like Civil War, Mr. Brownstone, Nightrain, Pretty Tied Up, etc.

But I wouldn't really try to convert anyone.
You're apt to hate it when it is forced on you.

Yeah that si a good point. I would try with anything from AFD, NR, Coma, Estranged, Civil War. If none of them work the person does not understande great music when they hear it.

Read the first post, lazybones.? no (not you surforia)

The subject is someone who probably knows those gnr hits, yet is not crazy about the songs.

If you had to pick one GNR song to play for the average music fan who is so-so on GNR, but has probably only heard the Radio-played hits,
which would you choose, in hopes of " converting " them ?

RQ Kiss I definetly lazy bones

To someone familiar with the main hits (on my age range everybody knows PC; SCOM; NR and WTTJ), i would go with:
Nice boys don't play rock n roll, such an underrated song, and according to my experience it works really well "converting" people, as long as they like rock most people just love it
Out to get me
Garden of Eden
Crazy

Ah the wide ranges of the common GNR fan - You just named 4 of my LEAST favorite tunes - with the exception of Crazy, which I love the acoustic version -
To each their own

I've done this with Coma, Estranged, and Don't Damn Me................

Done it by forcing them to listen to AFD, Lies, and UYIs all in succession.
They were pissed at first... but they thanked me afterwards... Grin Cheesy

All of 'em! i'd strap 'em down in a chair and threaten to beat them oif they dont like it? Tongue but seriously i would like force them to listen to all of 'em. My friend got interested himself because at school im known for 3 things either A) the kid who loves hockey B) the kid who plays guitar or most prominently C) the kid who is waaaaay too obsessed with guns n' roses
so he downloaded some stuff and hes hooked. hes also gotten into the chinese democracy stuff and lieks it

"I've actually sent him Christmas cards, just to be cordial, but he never returns anything."
